We have an amazing
homeschool community!

If you homeschool or are considering it - you are not alone!

With hundreds of homeschooling families living nearby, this area is rich with activities, co-ops,
and many opportunities for homeschoolers to connect with one another.

Lots of families!

The Spring Hill, TN area is one of the most homeschooled areas in the world! With that, many local businesses have special offers, there are tons of activities and tutorials, and there is an abundance of helping hands from a loving and supportive community.

» The best way to get connected is to become a member, which allows access to our private Facebook support group, events/activities, connection to "mentors" that can help consult with you in your homeschool journey, and so much more!

Resources Abound!

There are many tutorials for anything you need, co-ops for meeting other families and sharing learning experiences, enrichment classes, sports and recreational opportunities, events, regular playdates, churches and community organization groups, and more!

» We have some free resources listed out in our Local Homeschool Groups section, which include contact information and links for those we have vetted and recommend. When you become a member, you can attend the exclusive events, as well as learn more about resources available in the area!

Favorable Tennessee Law

Tennessee is a very friendly state for homeschooling - an estimated 30,000+ families choose to homeschool in TN each year. Check out our How to Homeschool in Tennessee page for the very easy instructions to get started. You will also find links for everything you need to know!

» We all have homeschool situations that are unique - moving to Tennessee from another state and curious about navigating the difference in laws, exploring special needs situations and options for state resources, participation in local school sports, etc. Become a member for support from us who have been there and can help make it easy for you, 1 on 1 if you want!

SHAPE was a life line when we moved here four years ago from Michigan. We were already homeschooling but now we were in a new state where we knew no one, and we were faced with rules from that state that we didn't have in Michigan. SHAPE and it's members were guides on how to homeschool here in Tennessee, with the different ways to register and advice on umbrella schools.

And with three active and social girls and a toddler, we craved friends and activities to meet new people. SHAPE and it's members opened themselves to us; for park meet-ups, library chats about curriculum, small co-ops and ballet classes. The back-to-school carnival and history fair were great fun too.

SHAPE was the first homeschool group I joined. I hardly knew anyone in the community who homeschooled. It was a hidden community, really. I had been a teacher for 12 years, 5 years locally. I knew I wanted to homeschool my oldest. I met friends here first and was able to participate in co-ops, field trips, field days, back to school carnivals, teach small classes, and make lifelong friends with a similar worldview. Thank you, SHAPE!

Thank you to all those participating in and organizing the sale today! As a new homeschooling mom I left feeling empowered and excited...and arms full of resources.
